Työhuone Massage offers the members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a 60-minute sports massage at a discounted price of EUR 50 (regular price EUR 60). Sports masseur Simo Kellokumpu specializes in body care for performers, speakers, and active individuals.

Kellokumpu welcomes clients at his tranquil studio in Kallio, Helsinki, located at Pengerkatu 7.

The benefits offered by the Musicians’ Sick Fund include daily allowance for loss of work opportunities due to illness, reimbursement of psychiatrist statement costs related to seeking rehabilitation psychotherapy, reimbursement of dental care and hearing examination expenses, as well as reimbursement of hearing protection procurement costs and reimbursement of hospital and health center treatment day fees.

UniSport Sports Centers in Helsinki and Espoo offer the members of the Union reduced prices for both full and half-day cards. With the UniSport card, you can go to the gym, group sports classes and ball games. UniSport offers also dance and yoga classes as well as strength and endurance classes. UniSport centres are located in Kluuvi, Meilahti, Töölö, Otaniemi, Kumpula and Viikki.

UniSport offers full-day and half-day passes for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union at a discounted price.

To redeem the discount, present your Finnish Musicians’ Union membership card at the UniSport customer service.

Finnish respiratory exercise device manufacturer, WellO2, offers a 20% discount on all its products to members of the Musicians’ Union. Utilizing the WellO2 device for steam respiratory exercises moisturizes and alleviates respiratory tract irritation, strengthens vocal cords, enhances voice quality, and fortifies respiratory muscles.

Freelance Musicians: Yoga for Musicians

Freelance Musicians Association offers yoga on Thursdays at 1.40 pm to 3.10 pm. The classes are held at Astanga Yoga School in Annankatu 29, Helsinki (door code 3719).

Yoga classes are low-threshold yoga practices that are open for everyone and aspire for complete well-being of body and mind. The classes are specifically designed to fit musicians’ needs. The instructor is yoga teacher Sami Alanen.

You can participate to the classes mid-season, and you don’t have to sign up beforehand. For the classes, you need flexible clothing and your own yoga mat if you have one. The members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union are entitled to a discount from the pricing.
